Restyle Day 6 - Outerwear

Man I love a good coat/jacket/blazer. All Summer I look forward to Autumn and Winter so I can start layering up and wearing some of my fabulous op shopped outer wear (I have a lot!). Outerwear is really easy to find in an op shop. All the Red Cross stores I visited had a specific rack just for coats and jackets. Good quality outerwear can be so expensive to buy new, so it's all the more reason to check out your local op shop.

This 100% wool fuchsia blazer was lurking in the Australian Red Cross op shop in Bentley and I snapped it up for $8. It's in perfect condition and is so warm. If you follow me on instagram you would probably have noticed that I've worn it to work quite a few times already. Who knew that fuchsia was such a versatile colour?! This wasn't even the only fantastic jacket I found, I just had to restrain myself to only buying one because I have so many already. Get yourself to Red Cross Bentley if you need a winter coat because they have a particularly good collection!

I was going to put together a really boring outfit (black pencil skirt, white shirt) and show you how a great jacket is all you need to spice it up, but then I bought these amazing thigh high boots and was dying to wear them so this outfit fell together... you can just use your imagination to picture how great this jacket would look with a black skirt and a white shirt.

Jacket: Australian Red Cross Bentley $8
T-Shirt: Australian Red Cross Willagee $6
Skirt: Very old, can't even remember where it's from!
Shoes: Wittner

  1. Ah you are so pretty! That coat I would never look at cause it is so bright and I put on blinkers to avoid too much colour when shopping, but I love it. Haha, of course. Colour does make us happy, so wearing it is a good idea. Beautiful paired with the boots and floral skirt. xx Jenelle

  3. It is indeed a beautiful blazer and yes, I agree with Lisa, it works wonderfully with the gorgeous skirt. Oh yes, and the combo of ladylike jacket and skirt make the new, thigh-high boots look really classy. Good stuff!
