about me

Hi, welcome to In The Dress Up Box! I’m Hannah, a twenty something op-shop obsessed office girl looking to burn off a little creative steam. I live in Fremantle, Western Australia in a moderately sized apartment where I'm surrounded by too many cupboards over flowing with thrifted treasures and one very patient boyfriend (who luckily doesn't have much stuff... more room for me!!).

Over the years my style has become more and more op-shop-centric. My habit started when I was a poor uni student, developed while I was living in Alice Springs and thrift stores were my only shopping option and has just continued onwards even after city living, full-time employment and a regular salary took over. I just love it and I hope I never stop!

Here are some extremely important things to know about me…

I’m addicted to buying designer sunglasses
I can’t walk/drive past an op shop without stopping to ‘have a quick look’
I refuse to drink diet coke from anything but a can
My greatest thrill in life is telling people my dress cost $7 (99% of the time I’m telling the truth)
I’m 5’10 and adore wearing heels so I can tower over everyone

So there you have it, that’s me in a nutshell. Thanks for checking out my little creative outlet, I’d love to hear your thoughts (on my blog, or just in general!) so feel free to shoot me an email hannhkmcall@gmail.com

    1. Hi Diane, thank you so much for your comment!! It's so lovely to hear from people who read my blog :) WA is such a wonderful place to live, we are very lucky! You should definitely give op shopping a go, it doesn't matter how old you are, I'm sure you would find some great things. My own Grandma used to manage a thrift store in San Francisco. She is one of the people who taught me the wonders of second hand shopping :)

  2. Love the polka dot jumpsuit looks very designer with your removal of puffy sleeves best wishes Diane
