Happy Tuesday! I’ve had a rather unlucky couple of days so I’m quite pleased that Tuesday has rolled around without incident (so far!!). Thankfully I wore this outfit on the weekend and snapped some pictures of it on Saturday morning before my luck changed.
I already have a white sleeveless shirt that I wore all last summer (here, here, here) and I had been on the lookout for a replacement as the fabric was getting a bit bally. I found this top in H&M on my recent trip to Melbourne. I umm and ahhed and carried it around the gigantic store with me for about 45 minutes before I decided that for $10 I should just get it. I was also very tempted to lie about it on the blog and tell you it’s op shopped, because it’s just the kind of thing you could find in an op shop… except I didn’t, I bought it at H&M.
I’ve worn and washed this little top many times since buying it and I’m happy to report that it hasn’t yet started to fall apart at the seams. Maybe this is one of the few H&M pieces that will actually last a season or two, rather than just a week or two. Fingers crossed because I really like it! (maybe I’ll cut off the H&M tag and pretend I bought it second hand hehe)

This outfit is great and the top commentary made me laugh! The number of times on some blogs I've seen "vintage" as the tag when clearly it's just some junk top they got along the way hahahahah. Or perhaps something op shopped but not actual vintage... Either way, this top is cute, who cares!
ReplyDeleteYour hoops look awesome by the way. I've always wanted to be a "hoop person" whatever she may look like, but I mainly just love them on other people.

haha thanks Steph! I bought these hoops for a White Trash party about a year ago, and then I not-so-secretly loved them and have kept wearing them. You should buy some cheapies like these and give hoops a go! xx H
DeleteSuch a cute top, definitely looks just like something you'd find at an op shop. You pull off the retro look and cat eye sunnies so well!
